THE MOONBAND

Folk - Americana - Singer/Songwriter

Singer/Songwriter? Some would probably call it Contemporary Folk or Americana. But no matter how you call it, what finally remains is: Making music and  telling stories.

THE MOONBANDs offers a various, mainly acoustic instrumentation, from upright bass to glockenspiel. Distinctive vocal harmonies snatch the  listener into an atmospheric warm light. Timeless beautiful music, to escape the daily routine’s gravity for a couple of hours.

THE MOONBANDs debut album OPEN SPACE achiefed immediate attention by press and radio. It was e.g. quoted wonderful folk, and featured album of the week€� by reputable radiostation Bayerischer Rundfunk BR Online, and B2 Kulturwelt. Sueddeutsche Zeitung quoted it extremely smart folk, emotional, various, catchy and growing.

THE MOONBANDs second masterpiece DENAVIGATION, released August 2011,  developes the bands art by adding new elements of sound and  instrumentation. It still keeps the trademarks of beautiful melodies, affecting arrangements and multiple harmony vocals.

THE MOONBAND sounds as authentic, as if you were sitting in one room with  the band, right in the 150-year-old house in Saxon Bohemia, that serves as their studio. Sometimes it even seems that you can hear the floorboards creaking ... Music to stay.
