Munich based Progressive/Artrock band Central Park were founded in 1983, during the rennaisance of Prog Rock powered by bands such as Marillion, Asia or Saga. Central Park performed to „the summit of Germany's Progressive Rock League“ (orig. quote Keys Magazin). In 1989 Central Park first split.
2006 the band reunited in their original lineup – accidentally inspired by a Yes concert. The debutalbum „unexpected“ (a pair of CD & DVD) was released 23 years after the band's initial foundation. .
